On October 15, at approximately 7:30 a.m, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 700 block of Main Street for the report of a male that had been shot.

Officers from the North District attended and located a 42-year-old male victim suffering from upper-body injuries and a 31-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The 42-year-old male did not require medical attention. The 31-year-old male was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable. The suspects fled the residence before police arrived; however, officers located one of the suspects in the vicinity and safely placed him under arrest.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and learned a male and a female suspect attended to the residence, attacked the victims, prevented them from escaping, and demanded personal property. In the process of being robbed, one of the suspects produced and discharged a firearm striking the 31-year-old victim in the upper body, while the 42-year-old male was beaten about the upper body using solid objects.

Through their investigation, investigators identified a female suspect.

On October 16, investigators located the female suspect at a residence in the 300 block of Princess Avenue, where she was placed under arrest without incident.
