Sexual Assault – Arrest: C22-234122

On October 11, 2022, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Sex Crimes Unit began an investigation after receiving a report of a female being sexually assaulted during a massage therapy appointment.

Investigators learned that on October 8, a female victim in her twenties attended a licenced massage therapy business in the 2000 block of Portage Avenue. During the massage, the therapist spoke to her using sexually explicit language and touched her body in an unwanted and sexual manner. The victim reported the assault to the business and contacted police. She was not physically injured during this incident.

A 34-year-old male was arrested and is facing a charge of sexual assault. He was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.

The accused is no longer an employee of this business.
