On August 10, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 800 block of Main Street for the report of a male who had been stabbed.
Officers from the Central District attended and located a 65-year-old male victim suffering from a stab wound to the upper body. Emergency medical care was provided on scene by paramedics and did not require the victim to be transported to hospital.
Officers located an adult female matching the suspect's description at her residence and safely placed her under arrest.
It is believed the suspect stabbed the victim after he denied her a request for a cigarette. The suspect returned to her residence and caused a separate disturbance requiring police attendance. Officers attended and placed her under arrest for the initial assault.
