Homicide – Update: C22-157659

As previously released:

On July 15, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 500 block of Burnell Street for the report of an injured male who had been found by members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service attending to a fire alarm at this location.

Officers from the Central District attended and located an adult male suffering from upper-body injuries within the residence. The male was transported to hospital in critical condition; however, he succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased in this homicide was identified as Logan Clarke, a 18-year-old of Winnipeg.

Update:

Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation.

During the evening of July 20, 2022, a female suspect was placed under arrest at a residence in the Wolseley neighbourhood.

It is believed that the suspect and victim, known to each other through a domestic relationship, were involved in an altercation which resulted in the victim being stabbed.

Eliah Moonlight Olson, a 19-year-old female of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Second Degree Murder
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order

She was detained in custody.
