Firearm/Stolen Vehicle – Arrest: C22-160561

On July 18, 2022, at approximately 8:45 p.m., AIR1 responded to the report of a stolen vehicle. A caller reported seeing their friend’s recently stolen vehicle being driven in the area of Portage Avenue and Cavalier Drive.

AIR1 quickly spotted the vehicle and maintained visual containment. The vehicle continued to drive around the west end in an unsafe manner, at times into oncoming traffic.

Ground units converged in the area, and the stolen vehicle eventually stopped. The two occupants exited the vehicle and fled into a residence in the 1800 block of William Avenue. General Patrol, with the assistance of K9, established containment, and the two suspects were located within the residence. Both were taken into custody, and a replica 9 mm handgun was seized.

A 27-year-old male, Rainey Dellis BARKER of Winnipeg, was charged with:

- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Possess a Weapon
- Possess Break-In Instruments
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order

A 24-year-old female, Faith CAMPBELL of Winnipeg, was charged with:

- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Possess a Weapon
- Possess Break-In Instruments
- Fail to Comply with Release Order

Both were detained in custody.
