Stabbing – Investigation: C22-133794

On June 19, 2022, at approximately 2:15 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a convenience store in the 500 block of Ellice Avenue for the report of a stabbing.

An injured male in his twenties was located slumped against the building. Officers applied emergency medical care, including a chest seal, until he was transported to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable condition.

The victim indicated he had been assaulted on McMicken Street, then made it to the store to contact police. He did not provide any additional information to the investigators.

The incident was forwarded to the Major Crimes Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Major Crimes at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
