Update:

Regarding the suspicious death of a female in the 400 block of Kennedy Street on May 19, 2022, the victim has now been identified as Doris Lydia TROUT, 25, of Winnipeg.

TROUT’s death is determined to be a homicide, and the Homicide Unit continues to investigate.

Investigators seek the public’s assistance in identifying the two females seen in the images below. They are considered people of interest; any information about their travels before and after the incident is helpful.

On May 19, 2022, at approximately 4:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of an injured female located at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Kennedy Street.

Central Patrol officers attended and located a deceased female victim within a common area of the apartment.

The death is considered suspicious, and the Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.

Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
