Update:

On May 20, 2021, members of the Homicide Unit charged two suspects in the murder of 28-year-old Brandon David Thomas RICHARD of Winnipeg, who was killed on April 12, 2022.

Mario NIPPI (23), and Fransisco FLETT (23), of Winnipeg, have been charged with First Degree Murder and detained in custody.


As previously released:

On April 12, 2022, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was contacted regarding an adult male brought into hospital with a gunshot wound in critical condition.

The victim was identified as Brandon David Thomas RICHARD, 28, of St. Norbert, who later succumbed to his injuries.
The Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation, and a scene was located in the 1600 block of Burrows Avenue. It is believed RICHARD was shot during the early morning hours prior to being dropped off at the hospital.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
