On May 12, 2022, at approximately 3:00 p.m., North District Community Support officers observed a wanted male operating a bicycle in the North End.
Officers stopped the male in the 100 block of Burrows Avenue and safely placed him in custody.
A search of his property revealed a loaded improvised firing device (zip-gun).
Brandon Leonard CATCHEWAY, 24, of Winnipeg, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Firearm
- Carry Concealed Weapon, Prohibited Device, or Ammunition
- Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
- Warrant for Fail to Comply with Probation Order
CATCHEWAY was detained in custody.
