Firearms – Arrest: C22-100289

On May 12, 2022, at approximately 9:00 p.m, the Winnipeg Police Service was notified of a male suspect observed in possession of a firearm in the 400 block of River Avenue.

Central and West District officers responded and located a male matching the suspect's description walking in the area. The male was taken into custody and searched.

The following items were seized:

- Approximately 5 grams of Cocaine ($500 approximate street value)
- Approximately 4 grams of Crack Cocaine ($400 approximate street value)
- Airsoft Replica Handgun

A 21-year-old male of Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Alter, Deface, Remove Serial Number on a Firearm
- Possession of a Weapon
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)

He was released on an undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
