Firearm and Drug Offences – Arrest: C22-24317

During the evening of February 3, 2022, members of the Guns & Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and Central District Community Support Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Collegiate Street.

A number of items were seized, including the following:

- A 12-gauge shotgun with a tampered serial number
- 14 rounds of shotgun ammunition
- 99 grams of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $1,800)
- A digital scale
- Packaging materials

Peter William Pryma, a 34-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations

He was detained in custody.
