MACP Police & Peace Officers' Memorial

-

Join us on Sunday, September 29th as Police & Peace Officers from across Manitoba come together at the Provincial Police and Peace Officers Memorial Service located in Memorial Park.

Hosted by the Manitoba Association of Chiefs of Police, this event coincides with the Annual Canadian Police and Peace Officer Memorial Service held in Ottawa.

On September 24, 1998 the Government of Canada proclaimed the last Sunday in September of every year as the Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day.

The Proclamation was made to give Canadians an opportunity to formally express appreciation for the dedication of police and peace officers who make the ultimate, tragic sacrifice to keep our communities safe.
