Victoria Day long weekend operating hours for City of Winnipeg facilities and services

Winnipeg, MB - All civic offices are closed on Monday, May 23, 2016.

Recycling/Garbage Collection

Recycling, garbage and yard waste will be collected as normally scheduled on the Victoria Day holiday for those with Monday as their collection day.

To find your 2016 recycling, garbage and yard waste collection days, and for more information on the Brady Road Resource Management Facility and Brady 4R Winnipeg Depot:

Brady Road Resource Management Facility (Brady Road Landfill) hours of operation (commercial customers only)

Saturday, May 21 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 22 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday, May 23 - 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Brady 4R Winnipeg Depot is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (residential customers only)

Winnipeg Transit

On Monday, May 23, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule. For route and schedule information, visit Winnipeg Transit or contact 311.

Leisure Centres

All Leisure Centres are closed on Monday, May 23.

Regular hours of operation are in effect for Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22.

Swimming Pools

All City of Winnipeg swimming pools will be closed on Monday, May 23, except the Pan Am Pool and the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex.

On Monday, May 23, the Pan Am Pool will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Regular hours of operation are in effect for all pools on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22.

Libraries

All Winnipeg Public Library branches will be closed on Monday, May 23.

Please note: Winnipeg Public Library will switch to summer hours after Victoria Day, May 23; weekend hours will change at all branches. Regular hours will resume after September 5 (Labour Day).

Online services, including downloadable eBooks, catalogue searching, and holds/renewals, are available anytime at City of Winnipeg - Winnipeg Public Libraries.

Animal Services Agency

The Animal Services Agency will be closed on Monday, May 23.

Regular hours of operation are in effect on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22.

Cemeteries

Cemetery grounds at Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona Cemeteries will be open for visitation from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. over the Victoria Day long weekend, including Monday, May 23.

Cemetery offices will be closed on Monday, May 23.

Winnipeg Parking Authority

The Winnipeg Parking Authority office will be closed Friday, May 20 beginning at 1:00 p.m. to accommodate staff moving following a recent renovation. The Parking Authority office will be closed for the long weekend on Monday, May 23, and will reopen on Tuesday, May 24 at 8:30 a.m.

Following the move, Winnipeg Parking Authority office hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Golf Courses

Crescent Drive, Harbour View, John Blumberg, Kildonan Park and Windsor Park Golf Courses will be on the Victoria Day long weekend, including Monday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
