Winnipeg, MB – The City of Winnipeg offers a variety of fun, cost-effective activities for kids and families this spring break.

Take a splash, dive or slide into our City of Winnipeg swimming pools!

Free Swim schedules, including teen swims and information on reduced-fee pool admissions, are available for all pools at City of Winnipeg – Indoor Pools.

Winnipeg Public Libraries

Sign up your kids for fun and interactive learning activities at the library this Spring Break. From writing workshops to robotics to performances, there is something to keep every child busy and entertained!

For Tweens (ages 9-12):

Squishy Circuits: Use play dough to build sculptures and conduct electricity. Registration required.
West Kildonan Library: Saturday, March 24, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Great Robot Race: Design and build an obstacle course, then race your robot to the finish line! Registration required.
Henderson Library: Monday, March 26, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Write a Fictional Hero: Local author Karin Adams presents on how to create a story hero based on yourself. Registration required.
Sir William Stevenson Library: Wednesday, March 28, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For Teens (grades 7-12):

Creating Authentic Characters: Local author Karin Adams explores how to develop a backstory for your character. Registration required.
