Sunday and Holiday Bicycle Routes
Take advantage of the City's Sunday/Holiday Bicycle routes on Sunday, August 2 and Monday, August 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There are four streets in the city of Winnipeg designated as Sunday/Holiday Bicycle Routes to give cyclists an opportunity to use the roadway with limited vehicle traffic during designated times: Lyndale Drive, Scotia Street, Wellington Crescent and Wolseley Avenue.
As a result of a motion adopted by City Council on July 15, 2015, the City has already reinstated the practice of erecting barricades at key access points to the Sunday/holiday bicycle routes to remind motorists that vehicle through-traffic is limited to one block on these routes.
