Thanksgiving long weekend operating hours for City of Winnipeg facilities and services

Recycling/Garbage Collection

Single-family homes
Recycling, garbage and yard waste will be collected as normal those residents with Monday as their weekly cart collection day.
To find your recycling, garbage and yard waste collection days:

Multi-family apartments
Recycling and garbage collection will continue as normally scheduled.

Brady Road Resource Management Facility (Brady Road Landfill)

Saturday, October 129:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 139:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday, October 145:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Winnipeg Transit

On Monday, October 14, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Leisure Centres

All Leisure Centres will be closed on Monday, October 14.
Regular hours are in effect for Leisure Centres on Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13.

Swimming Pools

All City of Winnipeg indoor swimming pools will be closed on Monday, October 14 with the exception of Pan Am Pool and the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex.

Pan Am Pool will be open 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex will be open 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Regular hours are in effect for all indoor pools on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13.

Libraries

All Winnipeg Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, October 14.

Animal Services Agency

Hours of operation for the Animal Services Agency during the Thanksgiving long weekend are as follows:

Saturday, October 12Regular hours - 12 noon to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 13Regular hours - 12 noon to 5:00 p.m.
