Released: February 23, 2016 at 3:02 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - The public is invited to an open house on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 regarding the implementation of the Corydon-Osborne Area Plan. The Plan is a vision to guide future growth and change in the area while applying principles from OurWinnipeg, the City's long range development plan. The Plan also outlines the City's commitments and priorities over next 20 years for land use, transportation, services and parks and open space in the area.

To support the Corydon-Osborne Area Plan, the City of Winnipeg is recommending the following zoning adjustments:

  • A Planned Development Overlay (PDO) and design review for new development
  • Property rezonings to align with the Plan
  • A Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Zoning District

The open house will provide the public with an opportunity to provide input and to ask City planners questions about the above topics:

The open house takes place:

When: Wednesday, March 9, 2016

Time: 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Gladstone School, 500 Gertrude Avenue

Citizens who may require alternate formats or ASL interpretation in order participate in the open house are asked to email or call 311 by March 2, 2016.
