Bark for your park: Join us on February 24 to share your thoughts about potential locations and features for a downtown dog park

Released: February 10, 2016 at 10:15 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB - The City of Winnipeg is exploring options for the creation of a downtown off-leash dog park and we want to hear from you.

You're invited to an open house on February 24, 2016 to get an update on the project, see results from the online survey conducted in January, and provide feedback on possible locations for the dog park and potential features.

A neighbourhood dog park in downtown Winnipeg will help build stronger community ties by fostering social meet-ups for dogs and people. It will also be an amenity that will encourage downtown living and help make dog ownership in the downtown more accessible.

Event details are as follows:

Date:Wednesday, February 24, 2016
Time:4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
LocationCarol Shields Auditorium, second floor of Millennium Library, 251 Donald Street
