Animal Services Agency holiday dog sale a success!

Released: December 17, 2013 at 10:46 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB - The City of Winnipeg Animal Services Agency successfully held a holiday dog sale last week where 15 dogs were adopted into new families!

Animal Services would like to thank the public and the media for their overwhelming support.

As of today, 21 dogs are still awaiting adoption including Buddy, Boo and Nala.

Animal Services reminds citizens that a dog license makes a great holiday gift for your best friend. Last year, the 311 Contact Centre reunited 927 lost licensed dogs without those dogs ever setting foot in Animal Services.

Please help to control the pet population by having your pet spayed or neutered. Keep your pet current on vaccinations. Contact your veterinarian or the Humane Society for subsidized programs.

If you lose your dog call 311, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and visit Animal Services.

For photos and videos of the Agency’s adoptable pets or to license your dog visit City of Winnipeg - Animal Services or like the Agency on Facebook.

Animal Services is open seven days a week excluding holidays.
