Winnipeg, MB - A grader plow operation will continue tonight on regional and collector routes to deal with remaining areas with drifted snow and ruts following last weekend’s snowfall. Grader plowing will be done at night to minimize traffic disruption and will continue until complete, which is expected by early Saturday morning.
Back lane clearing will be complete by the end of the day today. Sidewalk clearing is ongoing and has moved into the priority 3 (residential) sidewalk network which should be completed within the next two days.
Sanding operations are continuing as needed to improve roadway traction.
Stay back, stay safe
Motorists are reminded to drive to road conditions and to use extreme caution when driving near any snow clearing equipment or sanding trucks.
