Winnipeg, MB - Due to crane removal, William Avenue at Sherbrook Street will be closed this weekend to local traffic, pedestrians and cyclists. Local traffic will be able to access the Health Sciences Centre’s Adult Emergency entrance and the west entrance of Children’s Emergency from the west side of the Health Sciences Centre via William Avenue.
Local traffic can still access the parkade and hospital, but will not be able to access Sherbrook Street.
There will be no access for cyclists or pedestrians from William Avenue west to Sherbrook Street. Pedestrians are advised to use the Sherbrook Street entrance to the hospital via McDermot Avenue. There will be access to the hospital west of the closure for pedestrians.
