WINNIPEG, MB - October 12, 2012 - Motorists are advised that beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, Grassie Boulevard, east of Lagimodiere Boulevard, will be closed allowing for only westbound traffic movement on Grassie at Skowron Crescent. All eastbound traffic at Skowron Crescent will be closed.
This is necessary to accommodate work that is being done to pave 90 metres of Grassie Boulevard, transforming it from a rural asphalt road to a two-lane cement, curb and gutter roadway based on urban design standards. This road improvement is part of an existing development agreement and is being fully funded by an area developer at no expense to the City of Winnipeg.
Alternate routes for eastbound traffic that would normally use Grassie Boulevard are advised to use Regent Avenue or Springfield Road.
The City of Winnipeg wishes to thank all residents for their patience during these infrastructure improvements.
