Divulgation – Sandra Saint-Cyr (PDF, 519KB)

Biographie :

Sandra is a dedicated educator with a longstanding commitment to the Louis Riel/St. Vital School Division, supporting students and families since 1992 at Samuel Burland, Victor Mager, and Dakota Collegiate. Sandra’s teaching career, which began in Northern Manitoba in 1985, has been marked by a diverse set of roles, including counselor, student services teacher, special education program teacher and classroom teacher.

Married to Chris for 37 years with four adult children, her candidacy for school trustee is driven by her desire to serve as a voice for the families of Louis Riel. As a parent, Sandra served a three year term as PAC chair and provided Before and After school care and private tutoring in her home.

Sandra’s dedication extends beyond the traditional public school setting as she explores the broader educational landscape through her work with independent schools. Her goal is to connect with the families of LRSD to ensure that she can accurately represent the needs of the community. Sandra’s vision for the school division is a collaborative learning community where every student voice is heard. Her dedication to students and families in her community makes her a strong contender for the role of trustee.

Divulgation – Marcel Boille (PDF, 523KB)

Biographie :

My name is Marcel Boille. Born in St. Claude, Mb, graduate of Institue Collegial St. Claude and Arthur Meighen High School. Father of Daniel, Stephanie and Georges , with 6 grand children. Bilingual with French as my first language. Have extensive experience in Construction, Real Estate , book keeping and tax preparation. Founded St. Boniface Children’s Place d’Enfants day care with a friend as well as being a long time board member. Coached hockey and sat on the board of Notre Dame Recreation Center. Currently a member ( and on the executive ) of the Knights of Columbus. I believe that Parental Rights are one of the cornerstones of the education system along with transparency. Parents have the absolute right and responsibility in raising their children. Parents (taxpayers) pay to have their children properly educated(not reared) so that they can face the world like their parents. Parents must have a right to say what is and is not taught in the schools, and not agreeing with the system does not equate to racism and discrimination. Children do not belong to the teachers, government or trustees. If elected I will defend those rights. Inclusive means people who don’t agree with us are included.

Divulgation – Ian Walker (PDF, 504KB)

Biographie :

I grew up in the Norwood Flats, attending École Queen Elizabeth, Collège Jeanne-Sauvé and Nelson McIntyre Collegiate. I continue to live in Norwood with my partner, Sarah and our two children who attend French Immersion schools in the LRSD. I have worked for the past 13 years in Elmwood as an elementary school teacher teaching grades 1-5. I am an active volunteer in our community as a Scout leader with the 3rd Winnipeg Cub/Scouts, leading a bike bus to École Provencher, and sitting on the board of directors of the Peg City Car Co-Op.

My Priorities:

  • I will advocate for adequate funding for our children’s classrooms and ensure that k-3 class size is reasonable so teachers and educational assistants are able to meet the needs of our diverse student population;
  • I will be an active participant in reconciliation with our community’s Indigenous people;
  • I will be a champion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging for all students, staff and parents in the Louis Riel School Division including the 2SLGBTQ+ community; and
  • I plan to encourage and promote initiatives to help students and staff lead healthy and active lifestyles by collaborating with schools, parents, and other levels of government.
