Temporary open-air fire ban lifted
May 18, 2018 - Due to recent environmental conditions, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) is lifting the temporary open-air fire ban for the city of Winnipeg. In addition, WFPS will resume issuing fireworks display permits and open fire permits. The WFPS will continue to enforce all permit conditions.

Ellice Avenue reduced to one lane in each direction from Erin Street to Arlington Street for street reconstruction
May 18, 2018 - Ellice Avenue between Erin Street and Arlington Street will be reduced to one lane of vehicular traffic in each direction starting this Tuesday, May 22 at 9 a.m., and these lane closures will remain in place until the street reconstruction project is completed at the end of July.
