Winnipeg Police Service Media Release
For Immediate Release
Serious Assault Arrest
On March 30th, 2009 just before midnight police were called to the 400 block of Ross Avenue in regards to male being assaulted by another male.
A 32 year old male was conveyed to hospital with upper body injuries and is in serious but stable condition.
Samuel Bushie, 19 years of No Fixed Address has been arrested and charged with
- Aggravated Assault
- Fail to Comply with condition of Recognizance x 2
- Breach of Probation
He has been detained in custody.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On March 31st, 2009 at approximately 8:20 a.m. a Provincial Ambulance conveying a 64 year old female to hospital was struck by a half ton truck at the intersection of Logan Avenue and King Street.
As a result of the motor vehicle collision, three medical personnel within the ambulance sustained minor injuries were taken to hospital and treated. The 64 year old female was conveyed to hospital where she remains in stable condition.
The driver of the half ton truck sustained minor injuries.
The collision is under investigation by Central Traffic Unit. There is no further information available at this time.
