Sexual Assault
On Friday, June 10th, 2005 between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. an elderly female was walking in an alley in the area of Portage Avenue and Westwood Drive when she was approached by an unknown male. The suspect seriously sexually assaulted the victim and fled on foot.
The suspect is described as having a darker complexion, 45-50 years of age, 6’1”, 200 lbs. fit build with dark hair and moustache, crooked teeth wearing dark pants, black boxer shorts, blue runners and a t-shirt.
The suspect is believed to have spoken with an English or Foreign accent.
The Winnipeg Police Service is asking anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect to contact the Sex Crimes Unit at 986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at 986-TIPS.
Sexual Assault
Yesterday shortly before 6:30 p.m. a youth female was riding her bicycle in the north back lane in the 100 block of Thom Avenue West when she was approached by an unknown male. The male grabbed hold of the young girl and sexually assaulted her. She was then allowed to leave.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian teenager with short brown hair, brown eyes, slender build. Clothing description is unknown.
Drug Arrest
On June 22nd, shortly after 3:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service stopped a vehicle traveling on the Perimeter Highway at Waverly Street on a traffic related matter. The police investigation led to the seizure of over 21 pounds of cannabis marihuana, with an estimated street value between $97 000.00 and $146 000.00.
Michael Graham Muir, 33 years of age of Edmonton, Alberta has been charged with Trafficking in controlled drug of substance and Possessing substance for the purpose of trafficking.
