Homicide Investigation Arrest
On June 15th the Winnipeg Police Service released information detailing the homicide of a 28 year old male that occurred in the 2200 block of Pembina Highway shortly before 2:00 a.m. on June 14th, 2005.
Yesterday the investigation led officers to a home in the Maples area where Tam LE, 29 years of age, of Winnipeg was arrested and has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Apprehension and Suspension of Statutory Release and Failing to Comply with Conditions of Recognizance.
Update
The 28 year old victim of the homicide that occurred June 15th, 2005, shortly before 2:00 a.m. in the 2200 block of Pembina Highway has been identified as Miguel Munoz, 28 years of age of Winnipeg.
Robbery Arrest
On June 15th, 2005 shortly before 11:30 p.m. the Winnipeg Police Service Major Crime Unit arrested a male in connection with six different robberies that have occurred in Winnipeg over the last seven months. In all of these robberies a firearm or an imitation firearm was used and the suspect fled with cash and cigarettes.
Michael James Cummings, 21 years of age, of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery with Firearm X 2, Robbery with Imitation Firearm X 3, Theft Under $5000.00 and Wear Disguise with Intent X 6.
Break & Enter, Home Owner Assaulted
On June 15th shortly after 11:00 p.m. four males confronted a home owner in the 400 block of Boyd Avenue. The four suspects are alleged to have assaulted the home owner and enter his residence. The four suspects are also alleged to have stolen various property.
Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 22-23 years of age, 6’0”, 180 lbs.
Suspect #2 is described as a Caucasian male, 20-21 years of age, 6”1”, 170 lbs.
The two additional suspects are described only as Caucasian males.
Swimming Pool Drowning
At approximately 7:00 p.m. June 16th, 2005 members of the Winnipeg Police Service were called to a possible drowning in the swimming pool of an apartment block in the 1400 block of Jefferson Avenue.
A 9 year old male victim was taken to hospital and was later pronounced deceased. The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The matter is currently being investigated.
