Sudden Death
Yesterday, shortly after 10:00 a.m. a male fell from his 6th floor balcony to a 2nd floor balcony in the 1900 block of Portage Avenue. It is believed that this incident is accidental. Duncan McKenzie, 88 years of age of Winnipeg succumbed to his injuries.
Sudden Death
On June 4th, shortly after 6:00 a.m. the body of a male was found in a park at Assiniboine Avenue and Main Street. Foul play is not suspected. Bruce Gottschalk, 43 years of age, of Winnipeg is believed to have died of natural causes.
Stabbing
On June 4th, shortly after 3:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Manitoba Avenue a 28 year old male answered a knock at the front door and was immediately confronted by an unknown suspect. A fight ensued which resulted in the victim receiving stab wounds to his upper body. The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition.
The suspect fled the area and is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 6’2”, 20 years of age, average build with short hair.
Robbery
On June 4th, 2005, shortly after 6:30 a.m. a 16 year old female was confronted by a male in the area of McKenzie Street and Manitoba Avenue. This male, armed with a steering wheel “car club”, demanded the victim’s bracelet, earrings and jacket. The victim complied and was then punched and struck with the club. The victim received medical attention and was released from hospital.
The suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, 17-18 years of age, 5’6”, skinny build, black frizzy hair, black cap, dark sweat pants and a dark shirt.
Robbery of a Business
Yesterday shortly after 10:00 a.m. a business in the 200 block of Marion Street was robbed. Two males entered the business, one armed with a handgun while the other was armed with a shotgun. The lone employee was forced into the rear area of the store where the suspects demanded cash. The suspect armed with the handgun is alleged to have put the gun to the employee’s chest and demand additional money. The employee supplied the suspects with cash and was thrown to the floor as the suspects fled the area. The employee was not seriously injured.
The first suspect is described as Caucasian, 30 years of age, 6’0”, heavy build, reddish brown scraggly hair past his shoulders, reddish brown full beard and moustache, bad teeth, wearing a black baseball cap backwards, black wrap around sun glasses, black hoodie and blue jeans. The suspect was armed with a silver, grey, pistol.
The second suspect is described as Asian in appearance, 20 years of age, 6’0”, heavy build, shaved head, wearing black wrap around sun glasses, baby blue hoodie, ¾ length cargo style pants with a chain hanging from them. He was armed with a sawed off shotgun.

Gas Station Robbery
On June 5th, 2005, just prior to 5:00 a.m. a Petro-Canada gas station in the 1400 block of McPhillips Street was robbed. Two males entered the store both armed with handguns and ordered the store employee to provide them with money and cigarettes. The suspects then fled the area.
The first suspect is described as 5’8”, 158 lbs. wearing a balaclava covering his face, white t-shirt, blue wind pants and white runners, armed with a black automatic style pistol with a silver colored hammer.
The second suspect is described as 5’7”, 170 lbs., wearing a blue and white bandana covering his face, armed with a black handgun.

Break, Enter and Robbery
Yesterday shortly after 4:15 p.m. a residence in the 500 block of Hudson Street was broken into while the home owner was at home. Two suspects forced the front door open and stole jewelry, cash and electronics. The homeowner confronted the suspects who threatened the home owner and fled the area.
The first suspect is described as East Indian in appearance, 18 years of age, 5’6”, 190 lbs., heavy build, short brown hair, wearing a yellow hoodie and blue jeans.
The second suspect is described as 18 years of age, 5’9”, 150 lbs., medium build with short brown hair and thin framed glasses, wearing a light blue short sleeved shirt over a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
The suspects were last seen fleeing the area in an older model, four door Pontiac Bonneville or 6000, grey in color with cardboard over the driver’s rear quarter window.
