Winnipeg Police to Host Bike to Work Day Pit Stop at new Police Headquarters Building

Bike to Work DayBike to Work Day is set for Friday June 21st and the Winnipeg Police Service has come on board this year by hosting a Pit Stop at the new WPS Headquarters Building (245 Smith Street).

The goal of the one-day celebration is to promote the bicycle as everyday transportation. The event celebrates cycling culture, encourages commuters to choose active transportation, and advocates for the continued development of bike friendly infrastructure.

Get the rolls in motion by registering through the official Bike To Work Day website.

HQ Pit Stop

This year the Winnipeg Police Service will be hosting a Pit Stop at the new HQ Building. It will be open to the entire community and hosted by members of the Service. Snacks and beverages will be offered on site. There will also be a crew of volunteers who can help you make minor repairs to your bike, if required.

Get Involved

Bike to Work Day was first held in Winnipeg in 2008. Last year, there were 3,930 registered riders who took part in the event.

The Bike To Work Committee has built an impress website filled with information about bike safety and the numerous pit stops set up across the city.
