Officers Provide Emergency Medical Care at Multiple Incidents

Weekend Incident Synopsis:

Stabbing – C24-81189

On April 13, 2024, at approximately 2:15 p.m., General Patrol officers responded to a stabbing incident that occurred in the area of Carlton Street and Cumberland Avenue. An adult male was located, and officers provided emergency medical care by applying pressure to the injury.

Stabbing – C24-81594

As previously released, on April 14, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 1000 block of St. James Street for a stabbing incident. TST officers located an adult male with a serious lower-body injury, at which time a tourniquet was applied.

Stabbing – C24-81667

On April 14, 2024, at approximately 1:45 a.m., General Patrol officers responded to a stabbing incident in the 300 block of Maryland Street. The victim, a male in his 50s, was located, at which time officers applied a chest seal prior to him being transported to hospital.

Stabbing – C24-81664

On April 14, 2024, at approximately 1:50 a.m., General Patrol officers responded to the report of a stabbing incident in the area of Salter Street and Anderson Avenue. Officers located a victim in his 20s, and emergency medical care was provided by applying a chest seal. 

These incidents are unrelated and are being investigated by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
