Pembina Trail Library temporarily closed for renovations

Winnipeg, MB – The Pembina Trail Library, located at 2724 Pembina Hwy, will be closed as of Saturday, May 5 at 5:00 p.m. for renovations. The library is expected to reopen in fall 2018.

The renovations will include an upgraded entrance, universally accessible washrooms, improved shelving and collections layout, and a new location for the book return. There will be new furniture, paint, flooring and a single service desk. The City’s budget for this project is approximately $294,000.

Holds will be sent to the Fort Garry Library, 1360 Pembina Hwy, during the closure, unless customers have directed their holds to be sent to a different branch.

The Pembina Trail book return will be closed. Items can be returned to any other branch of the Winnipeg Public Library.

Winnipeg Public Library’s online services of My Account, downloadable eBooks, eMagazines, and streaming movies and music are available 24/7 at winnipeg.ca/library.
