Recycling and garbage collection delays continue

Winnipeg, MB - The City is advising residents that recycling, garbage and yard waste collection service is still up to one day behind schedule in some neighbourhoods to due to issues with the contractor’s fleet.

The City would like to thank residents for their patience as we work with the contractor to correct the delays.

Wednesday Collection

  • Recycling, garbage and yard waste has been completed.

Thursday Collection

  • Recycling and yard waste collection is expected to be completed on Friday, June 16.
  • Garbage collection has been completed.

If yesterday (Thursday) was your collection day and your carts or yard waste were not picked up by 6 p.m. Friday, please call 311 to report a missed pick up.

Friday Collection

  • Recycling and yard waste may be delayed up to one day and is expected to be completed on Saturday, June 17.
  • Garbage collection may experience minor delays.

If today (Friday) is your collection day, please leave your carts and yard waste out until 10 p.m. tonight. If your carts or yard waste have not been collected by 10 p.m., please put them away and then place them out by 7 a.m. tomorrow morning (Saturday).

If your carts and yard waste are not picked up by 6 p.m. Saturday, please call 311 to report a missed pick up.
