Motorists should use alternate routes and allow additional travel time
Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised that the following road closures will be in effect this weekend:
- Albert Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Saturday, April 8 at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, April 10 at 8:00 a.m. for film production. Pedestrian access to Albert Street will be maintained, and area businesses will not be affected by the closure. Props for the film will also be set up in Market Square during this time.
- The Midtown Bridge northbound will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday, April 9 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for film production. During that time period, the Midtown Bridge southbound will be affected by intermittent traffic disruptions. Citizens are asked to avoid the area. Pedestrian access to the Midtown Bridge will be maintained in the southbound direction only.
- Memorial Boulevard from York Avenue to St. Mary Avenue will be temporarily closed this Sunday, April 9 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for the Vimy Ridge Memorial Service. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and motorists should allow additional travel time to get to their destinations, and use alternate routes.
