Winnipeg, MB - The final report on the 2017 Budget Consultations, compiling the feedback and preferences of those participating in this year’s budget consultation process, is now available on the City of Winnipeg’s website.

This year’s consultation process focused on understanding Winnipeggers’ priorities and preferences as they relate to City of Winnipeg spending and revenue generation; understanding priorities related to services and programs, why they are valued and how they make a difference in the lives of Winnipeggers; and identifying key focus areas on where the City could be spending more time, energy and resources. This process also gathered input and feedback on how to build and enhance future budget consultation processes.

The consultation process engaged a total of 963 participants, and recorded 1,280 visits to the Let’s Talk website.

Opportunities for organizations and members of the public to provide feedback on the 2017 preliminary budgets will continue in November and early December after the budgets are tabled at Executive Policy Committee on November 22, 2016.
