Winnipeg, MB - Winnipeg Public Library will be donating all fines collected on Tuesday, January 26 to the Winnipeg Foundation's Literacy for Life Fund. Annually, the Winnipeg Public Library provides a donation to the Literacy for Life Fund in recognition of National Family Literacy Day.
âÅIf you've been holding off on paying an outstanding library fine, Tuesday is the day to take care of it,- said Rick Walker, Manager of Library Services. âÅThe Literacy for Life Fund provides grants to family literacy programs across the province, to help bring books, storytelling, healthy play and quality learning to thousands of families.-
Over the past three years, Winnipeg Public Library has donated approximately $11,000 towards the Literacy for Life Fund.
