Winnipeg, MB - Patricia Robertson has been selected as Winnipeg Public Library's Writer-in-Residence for 2015-16. Starting October 1, 2015 and ending in April 2016, she will provide writing guidance to the public through individual consultations and group workshops, while also working on her own writing projects.
Patricia Robertson brings a wealth of experience in both writing and mentoring, having served in several residencies and as a creative writing instructor at Yukon College in Whitehorse. She has written fiction for adults and youth, speculative fiction, poetry, short stories and magazine articles. Her short story collections City of Orphans and The Goldfish Dancer have been nominated for several awards, including the Pushcart Prize, National Magazine Awards, and the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize.
The Writer-in-Residence provides online and in-person consultation with emerging and established writers of all genres from an office located at Millennium Library.
Manuscripts for review can be submitted by email or by mail starting October 1, 2015.
