Winnipeg Transit options for One Direction concert at Investors Group Field

Winnipeg, MB - Winnipeg welcomes One Direction as they take the stage July 24, 2015 at Investors Group Field. Concertgoers are encouraged to plan ahead and use Winnipeg Transit as part of their transportation plans. Winnipeg Transit operates several routes to and from Investors Group Field, providing a great option for those attending.

Pre-concert Transit routes
Usual Transit fares will apply to all Winnipeg Transit service to Investors Group Field. Riders can catch the following routes to get to the concert:

  • 60 Pembina
  • 75 Crosstown East
  • 78 Crosstown West
  • 160 Downtown - University of Manitoba
  • 162 Downtown - Fort Richmond (University of Manitoba) - St. Norbert Express
  • 170 Downtown - Fort Richmond (University of Manitoba) - St. Norbert

Post-concert Transit routes
After the concert, riders can catch Winnipeg Transit buses on Chancellor Matheson Road, lined up next to Investors Group Field and across from the old Bison Stadium facing west towards Pembina Highway. There will be no charge for passengers to ride these routes post-concert.

  • 160 University of Manitoba - Downtown
    • Buses will be lined up for this route on Chancellor Matheson Road, in front and across from the old Bison Stadium facing west towards Pembina Highway
  • 75 Crosstown East
    • Buses will be lined up on Chancellor Matheson next to Investors Group Field facing west towards Pembina Highway
  • 78 Crosstown West
    • Buses will be lined up on Chancellor Matheson next to Investors Group Field facing west towards Pembina Highway
  • 162 Fort Richmond - St. Norbert Express
    • Buses will pick up riders as the usual stop, University Crescent at Freedman
  • 170 Fort Richmond - St. Norbert
    • Buses will pick up riders as the usual stop, University Crescent at Freedman

Winnipeg Transit will have staff on-site to help riders find the correct bus to board.

Park and Ride
There are five special event Park & Ride locations across the city providing non-stop service on specially marked school buses to Investors Group Field. There is no charge to park your vehicle; however there will be a $5.00/person charge for this round trip service.

Park and Ride locations include:

  • Route 1 - Park & Ride Super Express - McPhillips Station Casino - 484 McPhillips Street.
  • Route 2 - Park & Ride Super Express - Club Regent Casino �"1425 Regent Ave West.
  • Route 3 - Park & Ride Super Express - Centre Scolaire Leo Remillard - 1095 St. Anne’s Road.
  • Route 4 - Park & Ride Super Express - Manitoba Hydro - 820 Taylor Avenue.
  • Route 9 - Park & Ride Super Express - Southdale Red River Co-op - 77 Vermillion Road
