Temporary Wednesday change of hours for St. Vital and Louis Riel Libraries

Winnipeg, MB - To accommodate ongoing elevator construction, St. Vital Library, located at 6 Fermor Avenue, will close on Wednesdays beginning on Wednesday, May 27. To maintain services in the area, Louis Riel Library, 1168 Dakota Street, normally closed on Wednesdays, will open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This exchange of Wednesday hours will last for the length of elevator construction at St. Vital Library, which is anticipated to be complete in August 2015. Other summer hours remain the same at both branches.

Revised hours for St. Vital Library and Louis Riel Library are as follows:

St. Vital Library
Mondays and Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: Closed
Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Fridays: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays: Closed

Louis Riel Library
Mondays and Tuesdays: 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Fridays: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays: Closed

Please note: libraries are currently on summer hours; Saturday hours return after Labour Day.

Winnipeg Public Library hours, locations, and online services - including downloadable eBooks, streaming movies and music, catalogue searching, and holds/renewals - are available online anytime at Winnipeg.ca/library.
