Join us in turning out the lights this Saturday evening for Earth Hour

Winnipeg, MB - The City of Winnipeg encourages citizens to join the international Earth Hour movement by turning off the lights for one hour on Saturday, March 28 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Earth Hour is a worldwide grassroots movement that unites people internationally to protect the planet, and raises awareness on a broad range of environmental issues.

City Hall will observe Earth Hour on Saturday, March 28 between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., during which time only security and safety lighting will remain turned on at City Hall.

Started in Sydney, Australia in 2007, Earth Hour has become a global movement, observed by hundreds of millions of people in over 162 countries and territories.
