Routine sanding, sidewalk plowing taking place today

Winnipeg, MB - Crews have completed salting applications, and have switched to routine sanding across all Priority 1 (Regional), Priority 2 (Collector/bus) and Priority 3 (Residential) routes. As well, sidewalk plowing on Priority 1 networks continues today.

Pothole patching crews are attending to Priority 1 (Regional) streets today to address any problem areas.

Stay back, stay safe
Motorists are reminded to drive to road conditions and to use extreme caution when driving near any snow clearing equipment or sanding trucks.

Parking ban
Only the regular Snow Route Parking Ban is in effect at this time, meaning parking is prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on streets displaying “Snow Route” signs.

The City offers free email and Twitter notifications which advise subscribers when a parking ban goes into effect. To sign up for notifications, or for more information about all winter parking bans visit knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca or contact 311.
