Closures on Edmonton Street and York Avenue to accommodate Convention Centre construction

Winnipeg, MB - The following street closures will be in place January 19 to January 23 to accommodate construction on the RBC Convention Centre:

  • York Avenue from Edmonton Street to Carlton Street will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily from Monday, January 19 to Friday, January 23.
  • Edmonton Street from York Avenue to Broadway will be closed to vehicular traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

These closures are scheduled outside of peak traffic hours in an endeavour to cause the least amount of disruption to downtown traffic. For regular updates on these lane closures and other City of Winnipeg lane closures, please visit City of Winnipeg - Regional Lane Closures.

Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time or to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.
