Winnipeg, MB - As colder temperatures arrive, thin layers of ice are forming on the city's rivers, streams, creeks, ponds and ditches, producing hazardous conditions. The Winnipeg Police Service and Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service are urging citizens to be cautious around these ice-covered bodies of water.
In 2013, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service received 50 water and ice safety calls.
