Citizens invited to the Chief Peguis Trail Extension West Public Information and Kick-Off event

Winnipeg, MB - Citizens are invited to the Public Information and Kick-off event for the Chief Peguis Trail Extension West study project on Tuesday, November 25.

The City of Winnipeg is initiating a new study to gain insight into the use of and expectations for the new Chief Peguis trail extension, west from Main Street to Brookside Boulevard. From now until spring 2015, the study will look at opportunities and considerations such as:

  • Alignments of the roadway corridor
  • Intersection delay
  • Sound reduction
  • Pedestrian and cycling routes
  • Greenspace features
  • Existing natural habitats

Everyone is welcome to attend, especially if you live or work nearby, plan to use the route for cycling, walking, recreation, etc., or are interested in being part of the planning process. More information on the project is available at City of Winnipeg - Chief Peguis Trail Extension West.
