Recycling, garbage and yard waste collection delays expected due to high winds

Released: November 7, 2014 at 4:26 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Due to the high winds we are experiencing in the city today, many recycling and garbage carts, and yard waste containers are blowing over. Minor delays in recycling, garbage and yard waste collection are expected.

Collectors will do their best to empty all carts and yard waste containers that have been blown over, providing they are safely accessible.

Residents with Friday collection are advised to contact 311 if their carts are not emptied by 10:00 p.m. today.
