Street closures in the downtown area to accommodate construction projects

Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised of the following closures happening in the downtown area this weekend:

  • Hargrave Street will be closed to all traffic from Portage Avenue to Ellice Avenue at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15 to complete a water tie-in for new building construction and craning work. Hargrave Street will reopen at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 22.
  • York Avenue will be closed to all traffic from Carlton Street to Hargrave Street from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 13 to accommodate overhead craning operations.
  • Edmonton Street will be closed to all traffic for a portion of a block starting at Broadway and ending just north of Broadway from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 13 to accommodate crane equipment relocation.

Motorists are reminded to allow added travel time and to use alternative routes in the area to get to their destinations.
