City spray pads to open this weekend

Winnipeg, MB - In anticipation of the weather forecast this weekend, the City is opening 10 spray pads two days earlier than scheduled to help Winnipeggers beat the heat.

The following spray pads will begin operating at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, May 31:

Central ParkSt. Norbert Community Centre
Lindenwoods Community CentreSt. James Assiniboia Centennial Pool
Provencher ParkTranscona Centennial Pool
River East (Peguis Trail Health & Fitness Centre)River Heights Community Centre
Shaughnessy ParkWestdale Community Centre
Vimy Ridge Memorial Park

(Please note: The Fort Rouge Park spray pad opening is delayed due to required mechanical repairs).

Spray pads will operate daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. throughout this summer. For more information, visit Winnipeg.ca or contact 311, open 24 hours every day, by phone at 311 or by email at 311@winnipeg.ca.
