Released: May 14, 2014 at 3:29 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Citizens are advised that Elmwood Kildonans Pool remains closed as result of the May 8, 2014 fire, affecting swim program participants, pass holders and rental groups.

Swim program participants are advised that the remainder of Spring 2014 swim programming has been postponed. Swim participants will be contacted and offered the opportunity to continue this set of lessons in August/September, 2014. These lessons are scheduled for Elmwood Kildonans Pool for the same weekday and time.

Participants may select to withdraw from the re-scheduled programming option and receive a credit for the remaining lessons to use at another time.

Summer 2014 program registration for this facility is suspended pending more information on the status of facility repairs.

Pass holders are encouraged to continue to use their pass to access other City of Winnipeg aquatic and recreation facilities. Pass suspension throughout the closure is available.

Rental groups have been accommodated, where possible, at other locations.

We thank patrons for their patience and patronage.
