Reminder: public invited to pedestrian and cycling strategies open house this Saturday

Winnipeg, MB - The public is invited to an open house this Saturday to learn about recommended future plans for walking and cycling in Winnipeg.

Based on an extensive public consultation program, the City has developed draft strategies that will help guide transportation choices in Winnipeg. Upcoming open houses will be an opportunity to provide input and to learn about Winnipeg’s current walking and cycling opportunities, best practices in other similar cities, recommended plans and action steps, implementation priorities and view the draft pedestrians and cycling networks.

When: Saturday, April 12, 2014, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Where: Manitoba Theatre for Young People, 2 Forks Market Road

What: Drop-in format

For those unable to attend the Saturday open house, additional open houses will be held on:

When: Tuesday, April 15, 2014, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: Manitoba Hydro Place Atrium located at 360 Portage Avenue

When: Tuesday, April 15, 2014, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: Sinclair Park Community Centre located at 490 Sinclair Street
