Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised that grader plowing will continue today and the Declared Snow Route Parking Ban will remain in effect on streets designated as snow routes tonight from midnight (Friday, November 29 at 12:00 a.m.) until 7:00 a.m. Friday.
The ban prohibits parking on any Snow Route between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. while in effect. Vehicles parked in violation of the Declared Snow Route Parking Ban will receive a $100 ticket and may be towed to the towing company’s compound. The ban will be in place until snow clearing is completed and the public will be notified when the Declared Snow Route Parking Ban is lifted.
Motorists are reminded to drive to road conditions and to use extreme caution when driving near any snow clearing equipment or sanding trucks.
This is the only parking ban currently in place. The City’s annual Snow Route Parking Ban comes into effect Sunday, December 1, 2013.
Snow clearing operations are undertaken in accordance with the City Council-approved Snow Clearing and Ice Control Policy, which can be found online at City of Winnipeg - Snow Clearing Policy
