Winnipeg, MB - The City of Winnipeg’s Community Services Department has awarded a contract to Winnipeg based Probe Research Inc. to spend the next several weeks assessing the recreational needs in the Daniel McIntyre ward which includes the 81-year-old Sherbrook Pool.

“The consultation process will involve one-on-one interviews with community stakeholders, sessions with targeted organizations, open houses and surveys with residents,” said Deepak Joshi, Acting Chief Administrative Officer for the city.

Detailed information regarding the consultation process will soon be available on winnipeg.ca

This consultation process is the result of a recommendation from the Public Service to City Council that was approved in June to move ahead with a recreational needs assessment for this area.

A final report following this process is expected later this year.
